In your role as the Accounts Receivable Clerk supporting North Star Air (NSA) at The North West Company (NWC), you are responsible for performing various clerical and accounting tasks related to Accounts Receivable such as customer invoicing, journal entries, collections and customer statement preparation. The AR Clerk is a member of the accounting team and provides support to other roles within the department as required.

**Your Role**:
- Generating and sending invoices to customers in a timely and accurate manner.
- Responsible for creating Journal entries and vouchers for customer invoices, payments received, or adjustments.
- Monitor customer accounts and following up on overdue payments.
- Prepare customer statements on a regular basis, which provide a summary of outstanding balances and payments made.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records.
- Assist in month-end closing activities by reconciling accounts and preparing necessary documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**Desired Skills & Experience**:
- Minimum of one year of relevant work experience is required.
- Diploma/Degree in a relevant field is an asset
- Knowledge of the People Soft Financial system would be an asset.
- Must possess a high degree of accuracy with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures is required.
- Must be capable of maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service.
- Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures.
- Must have a demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
