**Job Summary**
- The Department of Family Medicine is one of the largest and most complex clinical science departments within the Faculty of Medicine and is dedicated to excellence in patient care, teaching, research, and administration within the discipline of Family Medicine in a distributed learning environment (across three provinces). Reporting to the Medical Education Manager (MEM), the Curriculum and Undergraduate Coordinator will work closely with team members across the DFM to oversee a variety of curriculum and program activities in the areas of undergraduate as well as postgraduate education for the Department.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Identify curriculum and system developments, innovations, requirements and appropriate administration and technological resources required to meet College of Family Physicians of Canada, Faculty of Medicine and DFM mandates for curriculum requirements and delivery as well as assessment obligations.
- Lead the implementation of new projects/functionality and upgrades related to curriculum and undergraduate activities and programs.
- Working with the Medical Education Manager, manage financial aspects for projects and special events, as well as the operation, planning and execution of these various curriculum or other special events as required.
- Manage NSGEU positions which support DFM activities as well as undergraduate clerkship rotation placements, preceptor recruitment, mandatory rotations and elective placements. Oversee, direct or complete, as required, undergraduate activities for the education program.
- Represent the Medical Education Program at various events and communicate and coordinate with various audiences including faculty, Site Administrators, learners and Education Program staff regarding curriculum, undergraduate and education activities.
- Determine the best avenue for information distribution such as Brightspace, websites, DalMedix etc. in consultation with the Medical Education Manager and faculty leads.

**Note**
- Position occasionally requires work outside of regular office hours (e.g. weekend and evening hours). Travel within the Maritime provinces may be periodically required for special events.
The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.

**Required Qualifications**
- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration with approximately three to five years progressive relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of training and experience).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with advanced attention to detail, ability to multitask and use initiative.
- Demonstrated advanced computer proficiency required including software packages such as MSOffice (Excel) and database management software.
- Experience with supervision of staff.

**Assets**
- Experience with supervision of unionized staff.
- Experience with webinar systems (Zoom, MS Teams) or on-line tools.
- Knowledge of the medical schools and technologies such as Dalhousie intranet DalMedix, one45 (online evaluation program) or similar software.
