**POSITION INFORMATION**:
Part-time support opportunity (classification): Regular
Hourly rate: $28.52
Hours: up to a maximum of 24 hours per week
Reporting To: Director, Entrepreneurship and IP Strategy
Department: Office of Research Services, Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Campus Location: Oshawa

**DUTIES**:
This position is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day administrative operations of the FastStart DC Entrepreneurship Centre. Specific duties are as follows:

- Open and close the centre; ensuring a positive and productive self-service environment for centre users.
- Post up-to-date information about available services and success stories on social media and maximize engagement.
- Provide information to prospective student entrepreneurs.
- Respond to student enquiries, ensuring seating/workspace, wi-fi, printing, etc; reporting any requirements or problems to the Director or to Facilities as required.
- Prepare and distribute the monthly FastStart e-newsletter.
- Provide updates to Communications and Marketing for FastStart webpage on the DC website.
- Provide support to the FastStart faculty leads in organizing the DC Enactus chapter.
- Handle paperwork, document management, and maintain organized records.
- Prepare and distribute necessary materials, forms, and documents to stakeholders.
- Track the progress and milestones of student-led ventures within the centre.
- Maintain regular communication with student entrepreneurs, ensuring they know about opportunities, resources, and events.
- Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote the centre's programs and initiatives.
- Provide information on services, workshops, schedules, and registration procedures.
- Follow up with enrolled students, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- A minimum of a three-year diploma or degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or related field.
- A minimum of three years of work experience in an office setting, preferably working with entrepreneurs.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle paperwork efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills, welcoming and supportive attitude.
- Ability to exercise complete confidentiality of personal information and intellectual property.
- Commitment to the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving needs and take on additional responsibilities as required.
