Tier 3 Hosting Technician

Saskatoon, Canada MSP Corp Full time

We are currently looking for a **Senior Tier III Hosting Tech **whose responsibilities and qualifications will include, but not be limited to:

- Recommend cloud hosting solutions to customers when appropriate
- Coordinate and Manage Internal private cloud hosting migrations
- Coordinate and manage Veeam cloud backup and replication services
- Analyze current capabilities and environment requirements
- Recommend improvements to the environment and work plan
- Develop solutions and a working structure to deliver/support the integration of future additions
- Be able to resolve unanticipated problems
- Take charge and follow up on problems and requests: manage priorities and your time
- Document and ensure the quality of interventions.
- Ensure the maintenance and updating of infrastructure and equipment.
- Meet customer requests according to contractual terms and offer advice in defining new requirements.
- Technical Support: Provide high-level technical assistance to resolve complex issues and escalations that cannot be handled by L1 and L2 technicians. This includes diagnosing and troubleshooting network and system issues.

**Required Skills and Experience**
- Previous experience in technical support and/or helpdesk specializing in hosting and/or cloud infrastructure
- Working in constantly evolving environment and the ability to work under pressure
- Experience with cPanel/WHM or other control panels
- Excellent, professional customer service
- Excellent understanding of web concepts such as DNS and IP
- Excellent understanding in MSSQL and MySQL database system management
- Excellent understanding with the Microsoft SQL Management Studio

Excellent understanding with the Microsoft IIS
- Excellent understanding of Microsoft Remote Desktop Services, Deployment and Management
- Excellent understanding of generation and installation of SSL certificates and components on various platforms
- Knowledge of Apache and PHP
- Excellent understanding of deployment and administration of Linux and Windows operating systems
- Excellent understanding of Virtualization technologies: VMware and its components (Vcenter, VCloud director, NSX etc)
- Knowledge of network infrastructures: Fortinet, Cisco,
- Knowledge of security technologies: firewall (Fortinet, Watchguard, Cisco), VPN, MFA, Conditional Access, etc.
- Excellent knowledge of SAN storage and associated protocols ( fiber Channel iSCSI, NVME over TCP)
- SAN Switch administration experience
- Excellent understanding of network cabling including single, and multimode fiber and associated transceivers.
- Networking and security: LAN, WAN, routing and firewall (WG, Fortinet, Cisco)
- Advanced Linux administration Skills ( CLoudLinux and Ubuntu )
- Security Awareness: Understanding and implementing security best practices to protect network and system resources.
- Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to effectively diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent time tracking and documentation skills
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) in English (French beneficial )

- Must have own vehicle
- Ability to work evening and weekends as needed.
