As a member of the Business Analysis Practice, the Junior Business Analyst plays a key role in the project team and will work with domain experts to elicit, analyze, and validate client’s business needs into business and functional requirements that can be translated into feature-rich products and technical deliverables.
- Conduct requirements elicitation under the guidance of a Senior Business Analyst and/or independently using appropriate elicitation techniques

o Analyze, categorize and document elicited requirements in business and functional requirements specifications documents

o Ensure all documents are versioned and updated throughout the project lifecycle.

o Conduct requirements walkthroughs with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure documented requirements are accurate

o Provide input into the creation of test plans and test strategies for enhancements

o Support the project team throughout the duration of assigned projects
- Be proactive and “Think on your Feet”

o Understand and analyze our in-house systems and Product suite and demonstrate emerging SME potential in one or more product areas

o Proactively conduct market research, keep updated on what’s happening in the financial services industry

o Provide input into the resolution of client functionality challenges when issues may arise during the project lifecycle

o Keep abreast of industry best practices (e.g. SAFe, BABOK, CMMI)
- 1-2 years’ experience, preferably in the Canadian Financial Services Industry
- Ability to work independently on projects, with tight deadlines, under mínimal supervision
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Bilingual (English/French) an asset
- Must be flexible, adaptable and able to prioritize to deliver results
- Keen attention to detail
