Marketing and Communications Coordinator

As our Marketing and Communications Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our brand narrative, enhancing our digital presence, and fostering meaningful connections with our stakeholders. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute marketing campaigns, create compelling content, and implement strategies to effectively convey our organization's mission and values.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Brand ambassador **for Deer Creek internally and externally; creative & outgoing, fun & approachable, team player, self-starter and multi-tasker, passionate and ready to grow with a team to increase brand awareness and engagement within the golf & events industry.
- **Keeper of communication channels **which include but are not limited to:

- Social Media
- Newsletter
- App
- Beekeeper
- Online Digital Profiles (Google, Weddingwire, etc.)
- Customer Feedback
- Develop and implement a communication plan, continually evaluate the effectiveness of the plan and present new strategies to the Marketing Manager if opportunities arise and/or change is necessary
- Facilitate frequent (daily) and ongoing posts across all channels, including Beekeeper, with measurable calls to action, generating awareness and engagement with internal and external followers.
- Coordinate and monitor budget outlined by Marketing Manager for our communication channels; provide receipts for approval. Provide monthly reporting for ongoing measurement of communication channels for constant optimization of engagement and awareness.
- **Content creator**:

- At ease speaking with internal and external clients to gather real time content
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with communication channel partners & vendors
- Create content using a Smartphone on each channel to effectively engage internal and external clients and meet team and individual department goals
- Produce organic, real-time content in a timely manner
- Consistently work at growing and maintaining our content library Use Canva to assist in content design for communication channels
- **Brainstormer **extraordinaire:

- Assist marketing department to strategize, develop, and execute team & department goals
- Assist in conducting target market research and being an expert in industry (wedding/event/golf) social media and other trends.
- Brainstorm and implement ideas and initiatives to increase brand awareness and engagement, internally and externally
- Other duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- Post Secondary Education in marketing, communications or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of marketing experience, coordination and content creating
- Excellent communication. organizational skills and eager to work with a vibrant, passionate team
- Comfortable using a Macbook and Microsoft programs
- Experience with Adobe programs and Photoshop an asset
- Flexible schedule, including ability to work evenings and weekends as required

Salary starting at $48,000 per annum.
