**Responsibilities**:

- The Plant Manager is responsible to continuously improve human safety, food safety, product quality, cost reduction, efficiency and profitability respecting corporate mission, vision and values.
- Propose and manage the production budget and define action plans in case of important deviations.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate production, logistics and maintenance departments to deliver product on quantity, on quality, on time. Coordinate Quality control department at the plant to ensure that controls are aligned with the production plan and customer needs.
- Assure that good manufacturing practices (HACCP, GSFI Standards, Hygiene and Cleanness) are implemented and aligned with the group Quality policies.
- Ensure that the Factory is auditable every day at any time.
- Assure that all necessary operations records are accurate and updated in the system on due time to guarantee that reporting is available and accurate.
- Help performing root cause analysis in case major incidents or complaints arise.
- Assure that inventory of assets and materials (direct and indirect raw materials, maintenance spares, finish products, etc) is accurate and updated on the system.
- Take the leadership in high-pressure situations (high or low peak sales, important equipment fail, strikes, etc), choosing the next course of action through critical thinking and holistic analysis.
- Manage, evaluate, and develop the skills and technical knowledge of the team.
- Promote good interaction among the various functional areas of the Unit and between the various functional areas of the Unit and the central services.
- Develop the teams to embrace strong Growth, international and diversified projects, preparing and inspiring the teams for these challenges.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or food industry in a similar roles
- Degree or Masters in Management/ Industrial Management or equivalent
- Must be able to work in a high pressure, fast-paced environment; work effectively both independently and within a team
- Must be safety and quality conscious
- Completing HACCP Training considered as an asset
- Exposure to SAP considered as an asset
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office programs
