CANON MEDICAL SYSTEMS CANADA LIMITED (CMSCA) is a leading worldwide provider of high-quality diagnostic imaging systems and comprehensive medical solutions. CMSCA is looking for a highly capable **Product Manager** in the **Healthcare Information Technology (HIT)** business unit to be located in **Markham, Ontario**.
The Product Manager (PM) will be responsible to develop and implement tactical and strategic downstream solutions marketing plans while ensuring that the programs support the HIT business objectives and company financial goals. The PM will continually evaluate the effectiveness of marketing promotions/programs, while modifying marketing plans to meet the changing market and competitive conditions. In addition, the role requires management and execution of internal operational readiness for NPIs and solution offerings.
This role will also provide leadership within the HIT environment to help Product Managers within other business units to position and promote high-value offerings targeted to assigned market segments. As a primary interface point of contact for CMSCA, you will act as the product management and the strategic development lead.
**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Drive and promote the HIT Global strategy in CMSCA;
- Provide Informatics leadership within CMSCA to drive HIT business growth; capitalising on value of HIT across Canon modalities
- Ensure operational readiness through the NPI process of new solutions
- Provide HIT Clinical/Product/Technical/Modality knowledge, sales support (quotation & RFP), marketing campaigns, etc.
- Develop a comprehensive HIT business plan, focusing on CMSCA HIT portfolio which provides the best integration between marketing messages and strategic sales tools by all CMSCA modalities (CT, MRI, US, IR/XR).
- Utilize product and clinical knowledge to effectively position features and capabilities that represent solutions to customer needs.
- Direct and manage all marketing solutions development and digital communications for the HIT business unit.
- Provide the downstream marketing strategy and direction throughout the lifecycle of the product: Pre-Market, Introduction, Aftermarket and Sunset Decline.
- Continuously drive and increase brand awareness and customer mind share.
- Work with CMSCA regulatory team and HIT counterparts in CMSC to provide supporting materials for all validation bodies.
- Develop HIT solution site references across Canada. Become the key Canon Medical product representative in Canada at clinical and luminary sites for HIT product lines.
- Identify, analyze and report on market trends using current HIT industry data.
- Collect and analyze competitive information to advise field sales on HIT product positioning and strategies.
- Work with Regional Sales Directors to develop the sales strategy for the HIT product line; including new HIT business line expansions, HIT upsell, maintenance/support strategy etc.
- Provide support to Account managers/Sales Team/ Product Managers on strategy and product offerings.
- Develop product line presentations and conduct clinical education and training for the sales force on HIT product solution positioning strategies.
- Represent CMSCA in congresses, trades shows, and specific events which focus on HIT global strategy.
- Generates, records, communicates and maintains customer profiles with a focus on key decision-makers.
- Participate in continuous reviews with counterparts in CMSC to determine the status of project deliverables, product road maps, etc.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with product development for specific modality, preferred experience in Healthcare Information Technology.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing product features as they relate to clinical benefits, preferred experience in Healthcare Information Technology.
- Demonstrated ability to implement strategic plans that have led to improved business operations, profitability and efficiency.
- Require strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- May require more than 50% travel time.
- Proven experience in training and/or mentoring other employees.
- Strong customer interface and training skills.
- MS Office full package software as high-level user.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Works in a well-organized manner, consistently meeting customer and Canon Medical deadlines.
