What You’ll Be Doing

You will be joining Direct Financial Services technology team as a Senior Software Developer/Technical Lead. You will be a key member of the technology team supporting Digital Transformation, successfully implementing complex, enterprise-scale solutions on modern platforms with a variety of system integration and patterns. As a Technical Lead you will be responsible for overseeing each software release; coordinating with internal stakeholders, ensuring quality of releases and SLA's are met from a technical perspective.

- Relationship Management
- Work directly with internal and external partners to ensure delivery processes are followed correctly and coordinate the releases from a technical perspective.- Software Releases: As a Technical Lead, coordinate/oversee all aspects of software releases within an Agile environment For Simplii’s DigiCORE platform.- Automation - Review ongoing operational processes and Identify opportunities for automation. Design and lead process automation efforts by collaborating with the internal team and external vendors.- Implementation Lead - Manage project Implementations for operational initiatives. Create Production Implementation plans and conduct walkthroughs with the implementing team.- Leadership Skills - Act as technical lead and track project progress and address issues of team to ensure the project is on track to meet objectives. Support and mentor team members by sharing knowledge, collaborating and problem solving.

Who You Are- You can demonstrate experience in a Senior Software Developer/Technical Lead role, overseeing quality of delivery and coordinating releases within an Agile environment. 4+ years of experience in Java/J2EE, Spring/Springboot, Web Services (SOAP, JSON and RESTFul). Proven and solid hands-on experience of a minimum of 4+ years in Microservices architecture platforms, SOAP, XML, JSON and RESTFul web services, SQL, Test Driven Development (TDD), writing Unit Test, as well as a pulse on innovative technology. 1+ years of experience in Cloud environments (Azure Preferred) and Containerization (OpenShift/Kubernetes). Strong knowledge of DevOps, GitHub, Docker. It is an asset if you are familiar with Angular or React in Frontend. You have strong overall communication skills and are comfortable presenting to senior-level management.- You embrace and champion change.
