**Description**:
This position is a part of the Non-Academic Staff Association (NASA).

**Working for the Department**

Facilities and Operations is a diverse envelope of services that is responsible for managing the buildings across our five campuses. Facilities and Operations manages capital construction and renovations, providing utilities and energy management to deliver student and campus services. Facilities and Operations works behind the scenes to make the University one of the top places in the world to study, live and work The Asset Management & Operations Unit supports the community through operating, maintaining and renewing our infrastructure and providing a number of safety and security services.

The Facility Services department provides information and support to internal and external stakeholders across the University campuses, including provision of custodial, pest control, waste management, environmental services and process development.

**Position**

The Asset Management and Operations Unit within the Facilities and Operations Portfolio is transitioning from a paper based safety system to an electronic one. The Work Methods Coordinator (WMC) within the Facility Services Team will demonstrate the ability to adjust the current work methods surrounding the integration and implementation of a new safety software within the Asset Management and Operations (AMO) unit. Additional administrative streamlining of current documentation will be required to support the transition.

**Duties**
- Configuration of 3rd party software
- Software trouble shooting with end users
- Data entry (historical and new) into the Software
- Delivering hands on training of the software to AMO units
- Integration of the software into daily workflow processes
- Participation in Change Management activities such as roll out initiatives, communications, meeting attendance and presentations
- Front line audit of real time field activity utilizing implemented software
- On the Job training (OJT) of Field Level Hazard Assessment (FLHA) in new software

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Minimum High school diploma required
- Work experience as a trade or in a trades environment
- Ability to write reports and procedures
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to all levels in an organization
- Ability to develop ideas that will result in improvements in current work methods and programs
- Must possess excellent knowledge of business software such as Microsoft Office Suite and Google Applications
- Must have good communication skills and ability to work independently and as a team player
- Detail-oriented
- Demonstrate ability to work on own initiative with mínimal direction, to identify issues requiring attention

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Safety certification (HSA, NCSO, CRST)
- OHS secondary education considered an asset
- Working knowledge of AB OHS legislation, NIOSH and/or CSA is considered an asset
