**Essential Skills**:
1. A completed degree as an engineer in the field of mechanical engineering/manufacturing technology or a comparable qualification
2. Several years of professional experience in the area of assembly/production and/or assembly process planning
4. Experience in interdisciplinary collaboration within international project teams
5. Experience in managing sub-projects in the production department
6. Knowledge of using MS Office and MS Project
7. Strong communication, team, moderation and conflict management skills as well as intercultural competence
8. Fluent written and spoken English skills, other foreign languages are an advantage
9. high willingness to travel

**Nice-to-have**:
Automotive Assembly experience in a tier 1/2 facility

**The area of responsibility essentially includes**:
1. Development and optimization of assembly processes and equipment concepts from the offer phase to series handover, taking lean principles into account
2. Description of assembly processes using planning methods for workflow design
3. Participation in industrialization projects in planning and execution phases
4. Creation of specifications/specifications for assembly systems
5. Determination of key figures for the value-add calculation
6. Tracking and execution of the agreed cost and deadline targets
7. Participation in interdisciplinary and international project teams
8. Management and support of sub-projects for the industrialization of axle system assembly
9. Coordination of project-specific work packages with customers and suppliers
10. Support and control of the machine suppliers over the entire project period
11. Monitoring, control and final acceptance of assembly systems in the factory
12. Monitoring of the process acceptance by the customer
13. Organization of training and ensuring the transfer of know-how to the employees in the production plant
14. Arguing and negotiating the work results and concepts with the customer and management

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Ottawa, ON
