**Role Summary**

As the District Manager, your primary responsibility will be to oversee security operations at various warehouse locations, distribution centers, and educational institutions. With your exceptional leadership skills and strong operational knowledge, you will ensure our security services run smoothly and meet the highest standards. This position requires a customer-focused mindset, a proactive approach to client relations, and the ability to lead and develop security personnel.

This is a critical role in the development of our company, requiring operational knowledge, commitment to our mission, and loyalty. We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of their district, showing a deep understanding of security operations, while growing and leading a successful team.

You will report to the Regional Manager, Western Canada Operations Manager, and ultimately, the Director of Operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Operations & Site Management**:

- Oversee daily security operations across warehouse and educational institution sites, ensuring a safe and secure environment for personnel and assets.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of key contacts, post orders, and special considerations for each site.
- Conduct regular site visits, security assessments, and ensure compliance with security protocols and procedures.
- Manage post orders, provide necessary staff training, and participate in onboarding new clients, ensuring smooth transitions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security needs are integrated into broader operational strategies.
- Lead investigations into security incidents, including thefts or breaches, and collaborate with law enforcement when necessary.

**Leadership & Team Development**:

- Oversee the selection, training, and management of supervisory staff, ensuring they have a clear understanding of job responsibilities.
- Support HR in recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Foster positive working relationships and provide ongoing training to team members to ensure high performance and retention.
- Ensure proper field training and orientation for new hires and ongoing refresher courses.
- Be accountable for maintaining professional communication among team members and between security personnel and clients.

**Client Relations**:

- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, meeting regularly to proactively address potential issues and ensure client satisfaction.
- Attend client meetings and provide strategic support to aid in client retention.
- Support business development efforts by assisting in the acquisition of new clients when required.

**Administration & Reporting**:

- Monitor and manage company assets, such as equipment, uniforms, and vehicles.
- Ensure proper documentation and submission of reports outlining regional KPIs, staffing needs, and other operational metrics.
- Support the Regional Manager in managing operational expenses and delivering on financial targets.
- Ensure accurate scheduling, filling shifts, and responding to urgent short-notice guard requests, including covering shifts when necessary.

**Requirements**:

- Valid BC Security License and Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Post-secondary education is required.
- Previous experience managing security operations in a warehouse or institutional setting is required.
- Prior leadership experience, including staff development and team management, is essential.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Google Suite.
- Prior experience with security operations software.
- Flexibility to work outside regular hours as needed to address urgent situations.
- Personal vehicle required for site attendance.
