EnerMech is hiring a NIGHT SHIFT QHSE Advisor for the Canada LNG project in Kitimat, BC. This is an on-rotation job at a camp. All expenses such as lodging and food are provided. You will be provided airfare from major hubs in Canada to get you to and from site.
Overview:
- To drive HSE requirements within site operations
- To provide HSE expertise and advice
- To assess the HSE performance of our operations through field inspections
- To support the Project Team with investigation of incidents and near misses
- To develop solutions to address any identified HSE issues.
Critical Contacts and Relationships:
Internal: Quality Manager, Regional HSE Manager, HSEQ Advisors, Site Supervisors
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment.
- Ensure that all project quality and operational procedures are adhered to at all times.
Site operations support:
- Provide evidences (from site inspections and audits) on the adherence to the management system and support continuous improvement to meet internal and external HSE requirements;
- Liaise with regional manager for support.
Audits, Inspections and Investigations:
- Support site teams in the prevention of incidents with verification of operational control measures;
- Motivate and engage site teams with reporting all hazardous situations and at-risk behaviors in a no-blame culture;
- Support development of a positive safety culture on site;
- Participate in investigations of incidents and near misses;
- Verify the effectiveness of emergency response plans.
HSE-related activities:
- Participate in risk assessments/job hazards analysis, tool box talks and self-verification activities;
- Report HSE data accurately in a timely manner;
- Lead HSE related campaigns and programs;
Deliver induction and behavior-based safety program to all company
- Provide HSE support, expertise and advice;
- Intervene on identified HSE issues and provide solutions as and when required;
- Prepare project procedures as necessary
- Drive HSE requirements;
Essential:
8 years’ experience in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Management and current OSHA 500 certification
Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Night shift
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
Work Location: In person
