**JOB SUMMARY**:
This job has the overall responsibility for leading and managing a team in accordance with established cGMP policies, procedures and objectives, and will assist with any of the validation requirements for all the base utilities to insure that licensing is achieved through the Health Canada, FDA or any other governing body.

**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Manage work group: Provide management, and direct/indirect leadership, and direct supervision of TBI and contract technicians and trades personnel to ensure work is completed in a manner which complies with “Best Maintenance Practices”, GMP procedures and practices, government/regulatory and EHS requirements
- Direct the execution of Preventative Maintenance Program. Confirm that the Predictive Maintenance (PM) and/or repairs to equipment, systems and building services are completed in an efficient and safe manner. Assure that all required QA documentation and guidelines are adhered to
- Prioritize and handle emergency work requests for equipment and systems. Troubleshoot and assist trades to complete repairs to systems, building services, and equipment in a regulatory and GMP compliant, safe, efficient, and timely manner
- Make recommendations and justifications for upgrades and/or replacement of equipment and/or building services and systems. Oversee upgrades/ modifications to building services, equipment, and systems. Organize the fabrication of parts and equipment by in-house staff and/or contractors
- New Installations. Oversee commissioning installation of new equipment and systems, perform and assist commissioning of equipment and services as requested by engineering. Assist QA department in Certification and Validation of existing and new equipment and systems as requested
- Assist Engineering on projects as required. Liaison with the Engineering Staff/Project Managers to provide services and feedback on equipment, systems, and services and provide recommendations as required
- Consult with other trades, production departments, service contractors, SMEs, and manufacturer’s representatives as needed with respect to operation, repair, and troubleshooting of equipment and systems as necessary. Ability to work effectively with internal and external contractors
- SOPs are current, understood, adhered to, and updated if required
- IQ/OQ and PQ facilities related work is completed in a timely fashion and compliant
- GMP documentation is vetted through the Validation and QA departments
- Performs any other job-related duties as assigned

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:
**TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE**:

- University Engineering degree (i.e. Mechanical, Chemical or Process Engineering) with minimum three (3) years relevant experience is preferred; or, minimum five (5) year apprenticeship program or related College technical diploma with six or more years of relevant experience
- Solid understanding of all trades (Mechanical, Electrical, Refrigeration, Building Services, etc.), current Maintenance best practices, preventative maintenance tools and processes, OHSA requirements

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE**:

- Experience in a GMP manufacturing facility
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent supervisory skills are required, including supervision of maintenance personnel
- Membership in Professional Association(s) related to this field (i.e. OACETT, P.Eng. etc.)

**ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Pre-employment medical and medical re-examination performed every 2 years or as per RESILIENCE’s SOPs,
- This position requires vaccination for Hepatitis A and B
