**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Develop a layout and plan the sequence of work to be done
- Lay out plate, sheet steel, or other heavy metal, and locate, mark bending, and cutting lines
- Cut metal plate and brackets using an oxy-fuel torch, and chip and grind parts to shape for fit up
- Fit and tack weld components together
- Experience in Alberta oil and gas industry an asset to position

**REQUIRED SKILLS**

- Valid Red Seal or Journeyman / Apprentice Certificate (Trade credential must be recognized in Alberta)
- High degree of attention required to prevent injury to self or others
- Perform heavy maintenance work, involving climbing, rigging, and exposure to high pressure hydraulic and pneumatic systems in accordance with all company safety procedures
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Demonstrate practical problem solving ability
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Experience in tower repairs. (internal tray maintenance)
- Confined space entry for vessel work a requirement. Training available
- Close quarter working inside various equipment
- Ability to work with full face respirator
