**Job Summary**

Our Delta, BC location of Zodiac Hurricane Technologies has an immediate opening for Quality Assurance Inspector - Sea Trial in our Quality Assurance Department. This position is permanent, full-time working Monday through Friday.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

**Boat Inspections**:
Conduct In-Process and Final QA inspections on marine vessels. Report findings and seek corrective actions accordingly in a timely manner. Follow Production forecast schedules and prepare for tests and inspections to maintain high efficiency.

**Electronics Quality Assurance**:
Maintain a keen focus on the electronic components of our vessels, fostering a seamless connection between production, sea trials and real-world usage. Conduct inspections and ensure that the electronic systems are functioning optimally on the vessel(s).

**Sea Trial Evaluation**:
Integrate sea trials as an essential component of the quality assurance process and participate in sea trials to assess the performance, functionality, and safety of our marine vessels. Make necessary recommendations for improvements to the applicable team(s) by identifying defects, non-conformities, and deviations from established quality standards and collaborating with relevant departments to address and resolve any issues.

**Maintenance**:
Oversee the Company's truck and trailer fleet maintenance and safety protocols, including coordination with repair department and the execution of mandatory daily safety checks of company trucks and trailers. Conduct thorough inspections of company trucks and trailers to verify adherence to regulatory safety standards. The incumbent will inspect and report any maintenance and/or repairs required with the Company's Repair Shop and/or external repair shops.

**Time Management**:
Recognize the critical importance of time in meeting quality and safety objectives. An incumbent will effectively manage their schedule and coordinate with other departments to ensure sufficient time for the safe completion of sea trials without compromising the quality of the inspection process.

**Documentation**:
Complete the necessary documentation required to comply with the Company's policies, procedures and standards. Accurately record inspection and test results in detailed reports and maintain comprehensive documentation to track product quality and identify trends.

**Qualifications and Requirements**
- Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent with technical and/or mechanical education preferred.
- Must have a valid BC Class 5 Driver's license. Preference given to applicants with Code 20 endorsement, class 1 or class 3 licenses.
- Strong grasp of marine electronics, including the ability to troubleshoot basic issues and ensure proper functioning of electronic components in marine vessels.
- Proficiency in trailer handling, with a deep understanding of the intricacies and components of marine vessels and trailers.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and communication purposes working with MS Office, GSuite and other Company software ERP.
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment as required.
- Experience: Previous experience in quality control, inspection, or a related field is an asset, however, on-the-job training will be provided.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail is essential to identify even minor defects or deviations from standards.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, interpret results, and draw meaningful conclusions to drive quality improvements.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English are necessary to document findings, write reports, and collaborate with different teams and stakeholders effectively.
