**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Daily meetings with the management team to plan, assign, and report on crop objectives.
- Monitor, coach and motivate greenhouse workers, while encouraging teamwork to ensure all tasks are being accomplished in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide on-the-job training for greenhouse workers, as necessary.
- Create, compile, and process all reports relating to the crop as required by management.
- Under the direction of the Head Grower/Consultant, control the climate and irrigation system and/or learn how to control all Greenhouse Systems.
- Monitor, order and mix all fertilizer and ensuring proper disposal of containers while ensuring to maintain a clean & organized fertilizer room
- Daily/Weekly collection and records of water samples for lab analysis of pH, EC and drainage.
- Clean and maintain the irrigation systems and its parts such as Irrigation lines, valves, diaphragms, and filters and report any issues to the Maintenance Manager.
- Ensure that the proper washing and disposal of pesticides containers are followed as per the Pesticide Act Regulations.
- Control of Inventory of Personal Protective Equipment, Pesticides and Fertilizers on a going basis
- Manage the IPM Program with the aid of the lead scout and communicate any pests and diseases activity or hotspots to the Head Grower/Consultant
- Collect information about up-coming orders for bio controls and/or bees and ensure they are distributed and placed correctly and on time.
- Monitor the effectiveness of pollination and communicate findings to the Grower/Consultant.
- Manage the removal of diseased plants for testing or disposal.
- Support the jobs of cleaning and disinfection of the Greenhouses at the end/beginning of each crop cycle.
- Assist with Food Safety and Health & Safety compliance reporting under the direction of Management.
- Aide in resolving issues / problems and recommend measure to improve productivity and product quality
- Maintain and enforce a legally compliant workforce by adhering to all company policies and procedures ensure compliance with OHSA, Food Safety, WSIB, CFIA, USDA, provincial and federal laws.
- As Assistant Grower must be familiar with all the systems and procedures of the Greenhouse to be able to act as an alternative when a Grower, or a Labour Supervisor or a Scout are absent.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Compensation Based on experience**

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 55 per week
