The Boutique Salesperson provides friendly, courteous and efficient customer service to all of the museums boutique visitors. They set up and maintain attractive displays, processes all boutique sales, provide store housekeeping, and complete all merchandising tasks (receiving, replenishment, and pricing). As the position acts as the last point of contact for many museum visitors, the Boutique Salesperson take on the role of ambassadors for the corporation by presenting it as a dynamic cultural institution. As such, they ensure that the visitor ends off on a positive note in accordance with the Corporation’s mission and mandate.

**EXPERIENCE**:

- working as a cashier;
- working in a retail setting;
- working in a role that requires upselling;
- proven excellent customer service background;
- working with computer based systems (cash registers, POS, etc).

**KNOWLEDGE**:

- precise accuracy with counting skills;
- strong communication skills in both official languages (English & French) - Language requirements: Bilingual EN/FR (--B/--B)
- general knowledge of the museum’s collection and programs.

**COMPETENCIES**:

- positive attitude and very customer oriented;
- strong multitasking skills;
- demonstrated ability to stay positive in high stress situations;
- strong ability to quickly evaluate situations and take action effectively and calmly when required while providing good judgement;
- ability to work well without supervision and as part of a cohesive team.

Le vendeur, boutique offre un service à la clientèle amical, courtois et efficace à tous les visiteurs de la boutique du musée. Le vendeur met en place et maintien des présentoirs attrayants, traite toutes les ventes en boutique, assure l'entretien ménager des magasins et effectue toutes les tâches de marchandisage (réception, réapprovisionnement et tarification). Étant donné que le poste est le dernier point de contact pour de nombreux visiteurs du musée, le vendeur de boutique joue le rôle d'ambassadeur de la société en le présentant comme une institution culturelle dynamique. À ce titre, le vendeur veille à ce que le visiteur termine sa visite sur une note positive conformément à la mission et au mandat de la Société.

**EXPÉRIENCE**:

- expérience de travail de caisse;
- expérience de travail dans un commerce au détail;
- epérience de travail dans un rôle qui nécessite une vente incitative;
- excellente expérience éprouvée en service à la clientèle;
- expérience de travail avec des systèmes informatiques (caisses enregistreuses, POS, etc.).

**CONNAISSANCES**:

- précision avec compétences de comptage;
- solides compétences en communication dans les deux langues officielles (anglais et français) - Exigences linguistiques : Bilingue FR/EN (--B/--B);
- connaissance générale de la collection et des programmes du musée.

**COMPÉTENCES**:

- attitude positive et très orientée envers le client;
- solides compétences multitâche;
- capacité démontrée à rester positif dans des situations de stress élevé;
- forte capacité à évaluer rapidement les situations et à prendre des mesures efficaces et calmes au besoin tout en faisant preuve de bon jugement;
- capacité à bien travailler sans supervision et au sein d'une équipe soudée.
