**Full Time Lumber Yard Associate - McPhillips Branch**

The Lumber Yard Associate will handle, move, load and unload materials by hand or using a variety of material handling equipment. As a valuable member of our team your duties will also include:

- Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment
- Perform other material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking.
- Ensure customer orders are accurately filled and loaded in a manner that suits space requirements and eliminates any damage to merchandise
- Pick and stage orders for delivery or pickup as per direction by the manager
- Guides customers through their purchase process in a friendly and knowledgeable manner
- Assists with delivering merchandise to destination following safe job site procedures
- Performs general yard cleanup and maintenance as required, including restacking lumber piles and rotating to reduce cull lumber
- Show a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
- Be physically able to repeatedly lift/carry materials weighing up to and over 50lbs
- The ability to work in a team environment is essential
- Previous experience is preferred and knowledge of building materials is an asset but not required
- Must enjoy a fast paced environment
- Comply with all company policies and procedures including the Health and Safety program
- Valid Class 5 drivers license
- Be available to work a variety of shifts including weekends
