**About the Opportunity**:
**Location**: Various locations throughout Nova Scotia. OPOR supports a flexible work environment for work from home, in-office, or hybrid model.

The following team is recruiting for summer students:
**One Person One Record (OPOR)** is a vision and strategy for healthcare transformation in Nova Scotia, in partnership with Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. OPOR consists of a multidisciplinary team with a variety of clinical, business, IT, program management, and leadership backgrounds. The team works collaboratively with internal and external partner organizations to provide expertise in guiding the transformation of healthcare in Nova Scotia. OPOR contains multiple components:
OPOR Clinical Information System (OPOR-CIS): This project involves replacing three existing hospital information systems with one provincial clinical information system.

**About You**:
You are currently completing or have completed undergraduate level or master’s level studies

or professional program and are a student from relevant health, informatics, computer science, engineering, business/commerce, or sciences faculty.

You are a student at a technical college or program focused on Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Management and Technology, or Business/Commerce.

Assets:
Previous role in a health care setting.

Solid analytical skills, strong attention to detail, excellent communicator, flexibility with shifting focus, open to feedback, ability to independently solve problems.

Experience working with clinical data, ability to discern clinical data elements and categorize, ability to create workflow diagrams, ability to identify overall themes.

Ability to work independently and with a team, adapt well to complex environments, and comfortable working in loosely structured environments.

Experience with EA Sparks software.

**Hours**:

- Five (5) Short-assignment, full-time positions; 75 hours bi-weekly

**Compensation and Incentives**:
$21.00 Hourly + 4% in lieu of benefits and vacation
