Fonctions

Le ou la titulaire du poste travaille au sein des Services financiers et travaille en partenariat avec la directrice de la comptabilité et de la préparation de rapports et prête un soutien à la gestion des fonctions financières à l'Université. Il ou elle veille à un vaste éventail d'activités comptables professionnelles appuyant le fonctionnement quotidien de l'équipe des finances.

**Il ou elle doit**:
Préparer des analyses et rapports financiers complexes

Apporter un soutien aux gestionnaires des finances pour l'analyse de dossiers ordinaires et la préparation de rapports précis de données financières afin d'appuyer la situation financière de l'Université. Chaque gestionnaire des finances apporte son concours à des domaines particuliers, y compris le trésor, la comptabilité générale, les projets d'immobilisation, les rapports financiers, les fonds de dotation et la fiducie, l'administration des recherches ainsi que les comptes débiteurs généraux et étudiants. Les tâches des analystes correspondent aux domaines auxquels ils sont affectés;
Préparer des analyses et rapports financiers complexes touchant un large éventail d'activités incluant, entre autres, les rapports aux conseils subventionnaires, les organismes gouvernementaux provinciaux ou les donateurs importants à l'Université ou les rapports obligatoires aux comités et au Conseil des gouverneurs;
Analyser et examiner les comptes pour assurer des rapports précis des transactions et prendre les mesures nécessaires en temps opportun en cas d'écarts ou d'anomalies.

Traiter les opérations comptables

Traiter les opérations comptables courantes, y compris les articles au journal, les transferts de compte, les dépôts bancaires, les transactions par cartes de crédit, les allocations, les rajustements et les radiations de comptes, etc.;
Examiner les opérations pour en assurer la conformité avec les politiques universitaires, les conventions collectives et les principes comptables généralement reconnus;
Cerner les enjeux touchant la comptabilité, les traiter et formuler des recommandations en ce sens;
Développer des macros afin d'effectuer des analyses et rajustements d'un volume important de transactions (p. ex., transfert de fonds distincts, etc.);
Effectuer les charges proratisées standard en fin d'exercice et rajuster les articles au besoin dans des comptes particuliers.

Assurer la conformité avec les politiques universitaires et les ententes régissant le financement

Créer de nouveaux centres de coûts en conformité avec les normes de rapport du COFO et les définitions établies pour chaque fonds;
Être au courant des exigences particulières de reddition de comptes pour chaque source de financement et assurer la conformité des rapports d'opérations avec les ententes pertinentes;
Collaborer à la mise au point de nouvelles procédures et caractéristiques qui amélioreront le déroulement du travail de l'unité.

S'acquitter de diverses autres tâches

Donner une formation et de l'aide, au besoin, aux nouveaux membres du personnel occupant des postes semblables ou de niveau inférieur;
Apporter un soutien et une aide au gestionnaire pour les activités de l'unité et s'acquitter des autres tâches qui sont requises ou lui sont confiées.
Exigences
baccalauréat spécialisé (4 ans) en commerce, finances ou comptabilité;
de deux à trois ans d'expérience, au moins, dans un domaine pertinent;
progrès accompli pour l'obtention d'un agrément professionnel en comptabilité (deuxième année, au minimum);
certificat professionnel ou provincial;
capacité de travailler sans difficulté dans les deux langues officielles (français et anglais), tant à l'oral qu'à l'écrit;
compétences spécialisées (ou à obtenir dans le cadre d'une formation):
systèmes informatisés de comptabilité/finances;
connaissance d'Ellucian-Colleague, de préférence;
compétences avancées dans l'utilisation d'Excel;
habiletés de recherche sur Internet;
solides aptitudes pour les communications à l'oral et à l'écrit;
capacité de travailler harmonieusement avec des personnes de divers horizons;
bonnes compétences d'analyse, de résolution de problèmes et d'organisation;
capacité de travailler de façon autonome avec peu de supervision;
capacité de respecter les échéances tout en faisant preuve d'une attitude positive, d'enthousiasme et de concentration de haut niveau;
connaissance des politiques financières de l'Université, un atout.

Les heures d'ouverture officielles de l'Université sont de 9 h à 16 h 30, du lundi au vendredi, pendant et y compris les mois de septembre à avril, et de 8 h 30 à 16 h du lundi au vendredi pendant et y compris les mois de mai à août, soit trente-trois heures et trois quarts (33,75) p
