**As a Truck and Heavy Equipment Technician, You Will**:

- Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours at all times in support of Miller/MSO’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
- Read diagrams/schematics and manufacturers repair manuals for work procedures in order to make repairs per the manufacturer’s specifications
- Maintain and service a fleet of trucks, pavement preservation and heavy construction equipment
- Able to perform services on electrical, hydraulic, power train, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment
- Inspect and examine vehicles and equipment
- Lubricate, service, diagnose, repair, assemble, and maintain vehicles and equipment
- Timely and accurate diagnosis and repair including computer connection/diagnosis with machine to identify fault codes
- Provides guidance and instruction to less experienced, or apprentice maintenance personnel
- Utilize computer electronic systems to interpret failure modes
- Suggest positive changes to policy and procedures as required
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Maintain excellent customer relations
- Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns
- Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment
- Annual PMCVI Inspection for trucks

**What You'll Bring**:

- Must possess, and keep valid their applicable licenses including a valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician’s License
- Road-side service experience an asset
- First Aid certificate is an asset
- Previous experience working with Heavy/Paving Equipment an asset
- You will have the ability to diagnose and rectify faults
- Experience in repairing hydraulic and electrical systems
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Valid G Driver’s Licence
- Enjoy working in a team environment
- Available to work extended hours, weekends and holidays as needed
- Comprehend and follow written and spoken directions and work in a safe & efficient manner
- Good communication skills both written and verbal in the English language
- Physical ability and mobility to work in a shop and commercial yard environment; carry moderate to heavy amounts of weights; operate assigned equipment and vehicles
