**BOSTON PIZZA INTERNATIONAL**

**Position**: Director, Training & Development
**Location**:Richmond, BC

The Director, Training & Development is responsible for leading the team that creates the training initiatives and programs that impact team members and managers across Canada. This role will include creating/managing content development, the updating of all training materials, programs and processes, and facilitating development sessions online and in a classroom environment.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Design and develop training materials; printed materials, online learning & video content
- Participate in and lead cross-functional project teams
- Plan, manage and responsible for department budget
- Analyze existing programs and materials looking for ways to improve program effectiveness
- Facilitate training session for franchises, management and internal team members
- Assist or lead in planning and executing national events such as training conferences and in market sessions
- Clearly communicate with operations team and franchisees
- Lead and develop the Training & Development team
- Support standard operating procedures with manuals and training
- Other responsibilities as required

**Key Skills**
- Minimum 5 years of restaurant operations experience
- Post-secondary education in business, operations, training and development or applicable field
- Formal training or work related experience in instructional design
- Proficiency in developing and managing LMS systems and content
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
- Ability to maintain positive, productive relationships with both internal and external business partners
- Strong strategic and creative capabilities
- Can function in a fast-paced environment and under substantial time pressure
- Efficient with using Adobe InDesign and Adobe Premier Pro an asset
- CTP or CTDP designation an asset
