**Production QC/QA Inspector**

New Roots Herbal is a leading national manufacturer and distributor of high-quality natural health products based near Montreal, Quebec. **Responsibilities**:

- Sampling of raw material (preparation of labels, filling of forms, retest of raw materials, etc.)
- Bulk capsules, verification and sampling of bulk capsules from other suppliers
- Daily cleaning of the sampling room
- Sampling for water analysis (once a month)
- Make control checks of processes and starts during bottling and record data;
- Investigate unexpected problems and provide solutions to resolve them
- Report unusual events and non-conformities on a daily basis;
- Enter QC data, complete forms/registers and maintain accurate and complete records;
- Release of raw materials (in cooperation with the warehouse)
- Collect and manage selected samples of finished products;
- Enter microbiological results for finished products;
- Draft, review, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs);
- Maintain professional relationships and provide support to internal and external services;
- Assists in the organization and maintenance of the department and other relevant duties as assigned.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Good oral and written communication skills in English and French;
- Computer proficiency with MS Office;
- Sound understanding of current GMP requirements (NHP and Drug an asset);
- Must be organized and have the ability to develop and maintain effective working environment;
- Ability to work with limited direct supervision;
- Ability to meet deadlines with strong attention to details.

**Education & Experience**:

- High school completed
- One to two years of experience in a production and manufacturing chain.
- Quality Control experience in food industry, cosmetics or pharmaceutical industry (an asset).

**Work Schedule**:
Monday to Friday, Day shift - 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
40 hours / week
Full-time permanent position

**Responsabilités**:

- Échantillonnage de la matière première (préparation des étiquettes, remplissage des formulaires, retest des matières premières, etc.)
- Capsules en vrac, vérification et échantillonnage des capsules en vrac provenant d'autres fournisseurs
- Nettoyage quotidien de la salle d'échantillonnage
- Faire l'échantillonnage pour l'analyse de l'eau (une fois par mois)
- Faire des vérifications de contrôle des processus et des démarrages lors de l’embouteillage et enregistrer les données ;
- Mener une enquête sur les problèmes inattendus et fournir des solutions pour les résoudre
- Signaler les événements inhabituels et les non-conformités sur une base quotidienne ;
- Entrer les données de QC, remplir les formulaires/registres et tenir des dossiers précis et complets ;
- Relâche des matières premières (en coopération avec l'entrepôt))
- Collecter et gérer les échantillons retenus des produits finis ;
- Entrer les résultats microbiologiques pour les produits finis ;
- Rédiger, réviser, et actualiser les procédures opérationnelles normalisées (PON) ;
- Maintenir des relations professionnelles et fournir un soutien aux services internes et externes ;
- Aider à l’organisation et l’entretien du département et à d’autres tâches pertinentes assignées.

**Compétences et qualifications**:

- Bonnes compétences en communication écrite et verbale en anglais et en français ;
- Maîtrise de MS Office ;
- Bonne compréhension des exigences des BPF actuelles (PSN et médicaments un atout) ;
- Doit être organisé et pouvoir développer et maintenir un environnement de travail efficace ;
- Capacité à travailler sous supervision directe limitée ;
- Capacité à respecter les délais avec le souci du détail.

**Formation et expérience**:

- Diplôme d'études secondaires terminé
- Un à deux ans d'expérience dans une chaîne de production et de fabrication.
- Expérience en contrôle de la qualité dans l'industrie alimentaire, cosmétique ou pharmaceutique (un atout).

**Horaire de travail**:
Lundi au vendredi, horaire de jour - 7h00 à 15h00
40 heures / semaine
Poste à temps plein
