We have grown from one standalone Gas Bar in downtown Winnipeg to an ever-expanding co-operative with 49 gas bar locations, 23 car washes, six cardlocks, nine food stores, two standalone pharmacies and an oil supply centre. Our fleet of trucks are on the road delivering fuel to farm and commercial accounts in Manitoba and northwestern Ontario.
And we just keep growing as we develop fresh, modern ways to deliver premium products with extraordinary customer service.

**The Opportunity**:
Red River Co-op is recruiting for the position of Baker at St. Vital Food Store located at 850 Dakota Street, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This position reports to the Bakery Manager. The Baker adds value to our Co-operative by delivering world-class customer service; preparing dough and mixes and producing baked goods; and maintaining department cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
Essential responsibilities of the position include the following:
- Utilize established Co-op recipes and procedures to measure and mix ingredients to form dough or batter.
- Roll, cut, and shape dough to form rolls, pastry, cookies, and related products.
- Place dough in pans, molds, or on sheets and bake in oven. Observe products while cooking and adjust controls.
- Check production schedule to determine variety and quantity of goods to bake.
**About You**:
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:
- Experience baking product from scratch in a high-volume commercial bakery setting
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50lbs
- Prepared to work different shifts including early mornings and weekends (30 to 35 hours per week)
