Burlington, Canada Milestone Foster Homes Full time

Milestone Foster Homes is licensed by the Ministry of Children, Community & Social Services. Our team of professional caregivers provides residential treatment foster care to children ages 0-18 who are in the care of various child welfare agencies in Ontario. Our 110+ foster homes are located across the GTA.

We are looking for a Scheduling Coordinator for our Clinical Department with exceptional organization and problem-solving skills to schedule shifts for our Staff Model and Parent Operated Foster Homes and provide administrative support. This position operates in a fast-paced environment and is an integral part of ensuring that staff and parent model foster homes and our clinical department run smoothly.

Responsibilities include:

- Scheduling 24/7 staff shifts in our Staff Model and Parent Operated Foster Homes and responding to urgent staffing requests.
- Ensuring Third Party Agency staff and other 1:1 staff assigned to our foster homes comply with all Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services requirements and supporting documentation is current.
- Maintaining professional relationships with Third Party Staffing agencies.
- Support the recruiting process for Child and Youth Care Practioner and 1:1 staff and ensure all necessary Ministry required documents are obtained and current.
- Provide Administrative support to our Clinical Team.
- Monitoring department documentation, spreadsheets and ensuring compliance with Ministry of Children, Community and Social Servies requirements.
- Scheduling, attending meetings and taking notes as required.
- Maintain computer and manual filing systems.
- Support the creation of Power Point training presentations.
- Other duties as required.
- Some travel may be required on occasion.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience scheduling staff shifts for multiple programs in a social service or healthcare setting.
- Excellent time management and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- College Diploma preferred in a relevant field.
- A driver’s license and access to a car is required.
- Knowledge of the Child and Family Services Act, Ontario’s Quality Standards for Residential Care is an asset.
- Proficiency in verbal and written English language.

This is a full-time (40 hours) one-year contract with potential for renewal.

Salary $40,000 per year with paid sick days, personal needs days and vacation.

This position is hybrid.
