Our Scarborough** **location is currently looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused individual for the position of **Forklift Operator**. The Forklift Operator prepares loads and unloads building materials in the warehouse through the safe operation of a lift truck. Together with other team members, the Forklift Operator works to exceed customer expectations.

**Location **- 1170 Birchmount Rd, Unit 2, Scarborough, ON, M1K 5M1

**Key Responsibilities**
- Perform daily inspections of lift trucks and complete required forms
- Ensure lift truck maintenance and servicing requirements are met
- Build orders to required specifications for delivery
- Load and unload building materials in a safe and efficient manner
- Check load contents for accuracy and secure materials
- Ensure that all products are shipped on schedule and according to specific instructions by management to meet customer demands
- Maintain contact with the supervisor(s) and work to resolve issues as they arise
- Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers
- Follow all regulations, company policies, and procedures
- Other duties as assigned by management
- Evening and Night shift (4:00am - 2:00pm or 2:00pm - 12:00am)

**Skills and Qualifications**
- **Valid forklift certification (propane)**:

- Minimum **two years of experience**:

- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of basic mathematics
- Basic hand tool skills
- Physical requirements include:

- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
- Sitting and driving for longs periods of time
- Frequently climbing up and down stairs
- Pulling, pushing, bending and torso twisting movements with weight

**Compensation**
- **Rate -** **$22.50 - **$25.00/hr depending on experience**:

- **Bonus - **up to $4,500/yr
