**The Opportunity**

**We have a newly created leadership position available within CMHA’s Rehabilitation and Recovery Program. Working with the Senior Manager, they set team goals for performance and deadlines in ways that align with CMHA’s strategic plans, mission, vision, and values.**

**The Position**

**The Supervisor is a member of the Rehabilitation and Recovery Team and is responsible for the day-to-day operations under the direction of the Senior Manager. The Supervisor will support staff who are utilizing the Psychiatric Rehabilitation approach, Motivational Interviewing and the Carkuff model with participants. Responsibilities and accountabilities include oversight of team operations; including scheduling, recruitment, orientation and training, performance conversations, and supporting special projects, Engagement in internal and external committees, promotion and partnerships opportunities are available. **The Qualifications**

**Required**:

- This position requires a post-secondary degree or program in a human service-related discipline (i.e., social work, psychology, sociology, nursing, or education), and must be in good standing with their professional body if applicable.
- Certification in CPRRP, or willing to complete certification within 6 months of hire.
- Minimum of three years of direct service experience in a community-based organization.
- Minimum one year of leadership experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of mental health, mental illness, and recovery-oriented approaches.
- Demonstrated ability to use a client centered, strength-based approach when working with community and participants.
- Working knowledge of Psychosocial Rehabilitation, person centered screening tools and the levels of involvement with Stages of Change
- Effective case management skills.
- Effective communication and comprehension of English language
- Strong professional boundaries and ability to maintain confidentiality, including a non-judgmental attitude.
- Works effectively within teams, and independently.
- Must have a recent satisfactory criminal records/vulnerable persons check and a recent satisfactory abuse registry check.
- Must have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Flexible working hours, including some evenings.
- Legally able to work in Canada.

**Preferred**:

- Knowledge of community resources, including health, mental health, social service, and government service systems.
- Clinical assessment and counselling skills.
- Demonstrates competence in cultural safety and works effectively with individuals with various backgrounds.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Stages of Change and Motivational Interviewing
- Proven work experience in developing engagement and communication plans
