Our Opportunity

Tepperman’s is seeking an intellectually curious, collaborative data-driven professional to work as an insight expert, statistician, data miner, and business analyst for the Marketing department. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Ecommerce, our Marketing Analyst will use statistical analysis and data mining techniques to better understand how we can improve our business, both online and in-store.

Your Key Responsibilities

Working with complex and diverse data sets (Retail POS, data warehouses, demographics data, customer transactional sales, Discounting promo codes, customer financials, online & offline campaign results, product sales, retail categories, SKU data, etc.) to extract information to discover, interpret and deliver compelling analyses and actionable insights.
- Measure ROI of online and offline marketing campaigns
- Build the marketing analytics deck for the department and draw actionable insights from the data provided for all marketing campaigns.
- Data mining capabilities and aggregate complex and detailed findings and business patterns to all levels of marketing management and be comfortable presenting results that is easy to comprehend and gain insights
- Monitor & analyze data via weekly, monthly, yearly reports, and on an ad hoc basis to drive optimization decisions and effectively manage performance
- Conduct regular "deep-dives" to understand changes in Flyer, Mailer, Catalogue etc. ) to analyze effectiveness and develop an optimization strategy
- Answer complex—and sometimes ambiguous—business questions by translating them into data analysis (e.g. business trends, customer behaviour across different channels, purchase patterns, conversion rates, demographics, store traffic, channel behaviour etc.) and delivering the results in an understandable and actionable manner
- Be the data evangelist who collaborates regularly with the Media Planner, and cross-functional teams to answer key business questions

Your Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in data science, or business analytics or marketing.
- Minimum 4+ years marketing analytics experience, both online and offline and/or previous business consulting experience.
- Experience working on Klaviyo and Attentive campaign analytics to dig deeper into metrics performance metrics to better understand the revenue that is directly attributable to each campaign.
- Experience with web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics GA4.
- Conduct competitive research and analyze benchmarking data.
- Strong data visualization skills and presentation skills to simplify and package complex ideas into intuitive, decision driving senior leadership presentations.
