**Overview**
- The Project Manager is responsible to provide_ _industrial and commercial building project management services for construction life cycle with ability to assist in engineering management to enable project procurement and create repeat business with clients._

**Key Responsibilities**
- Overall project engineering design coordination
- Project management responsibilities (onsite and offsite) including liaising with clients, consultants and trade contractors.
- Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; confer with customer on building functions, performance criteria and other requirements
- Determine project design responsibilities by identifying project engineering requirements, phases and elements; reviewing bids from consultants; preparing and submitting engineering fee proposals
- Determine project specifications by studying product designs, material handling and production equipment, customer requirements and performance standards;
- Manage consultants through preparation of development/conceptual drawings; completing technical studies; preparation of project cost budgets; preparation of product flow charts and diagrams.
- Determine project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
- Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
- Control project plans by reviewing and coordinating engineering designs and specifications for completeness and accuracy and compliance with customer’s requirements; plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.
- Control project costs by approving expenditures; administering contracts; liaise with consultants; liaise with clients and contractors to enable effective change management.
- Administer trade contractor and supplier/manufacturers queries and RFI’s, SI’s, and change management relating to engineering documents during course of construction.
- Coordinate engineering field reviews and related reports and documentation.
- Review and assess new products and methods; maintain and ensure specifications are current.
- Maintain product and company reputation by complying with Building Codes and Standards.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Required Qualifications / Skills**
- 7-10 years working as a Construction Project Manager in a fast paced, complex construction environment.
- 5+ years of experience with Manufacturing and Construction Methods and Procedures
- Experience with controlled temperature buildings and specifically food and beverage process, storage and distribution facilities.
- Firm understanding of general and region specific regulations & requirements
- Registered professional engineer or architect a strong asset
- Experience in Revit and AutoCAD, an asset
- Strong user of Microsoft office, word, excel, outlook and Microsoft Project
- Familiarity with Part 3 BCBC related to Group F (industrial) & D (business & personal services) occupancies
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proven analytical, design and technical skills
- Highly developed leadership and management skills
- Adept at creating and coordination documentation

**Salary**: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
