**Financial Administrator, Payroll and Resident Accounts**

**Non-Union Position**

**Start Date: ASAP**
- This is a permanent position. Edgewater Gardens is a beautiful 64 bed not for profit long term care home located in Dunnville. The Financial Administrator is responsible for payroll activities for the Home and all billing and Resident Account work including Trust and Co-Pay processes. _

**Duties include (but are not limited to)**:

- 37.5 hours weekly
- six hours daily (Monday to Friday)

Payroll
- Process and enter bi-weekly payroll for Edgewater Gardens LTC
- Process new staff, setting up profiles and ensuring that all deductions are accurately configured
- Answer staff questions on payroll issues/changes
- Assist with monthly, quarterly and yearly account reconciliations

Resident Accounts
- Process monthly co-pay and other payments for residents
- Ensure co-pay and accommodation charges are accurate
- Reconcile resident account statements, ensuring accuracy
- Collect payments and deposit them
- Process cheques for vendors who provide services for residents
- Work with Resident families to resolve questions or concerns about accounts
- Reconcile trust accounts, ensuring that all entries are accurate and are proper use of funds

**_Hours of Work:_**

7.5 hours daily Monday to Friday

**_Qualifications:_**
- College diploma in Business Administration or equivalent
- 2 to 5 years’ experience in payroll processing, data entry specifically
- 2 to 5 years’ experience in Resident accounts in a long term care setting
- Ability to problem solve is required
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with residents, families and the healthcare team
- Above average emotional intelligence
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, excellent customer service is essential
- Basic computer skills required
- Demonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, residents, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with Edgewater Garden policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing mandatory education as required
