Burnaby, Canada United Floral Inc. (Wholesale Dept) Full time

**Work Schedules: (Seasonal, Part-time)**
- Saturday: 8:00AM to 4:30PM / 11:00PM to 7:30PM
- Sunday: 8:00AM to 4:30PM
- Monday-Friday 6:00AM to 2:30PM / 7:00AM to 3:30PM / 8:00AM to 4:30PM

**Primary Duties**:
Duties consistent with the position of warehouse/shipping/receiving operations include, but not limited to:

- Unloading of shipments from various delivery vehicles.
- Accurate receiving of shipments and sorting of inventory and customer orders.
- Careful handling of fragile, perishable products, as well as quality control.
- Packaging, organizing, and palletization of orders for outgoing shipments.
- Assembly and disassembly of wagons/carts.
- Filling, emptying, and moving buckets of water as well as lifting and moving boxes of product.
- General warehouse duties including but not limited to order picking/verification and maintenance support in cleaning of work areas and sorting/removal of material to appropriate recycling and garbage compactors.

**Requirements**:

- Must be able to work in temperature-controlled coolers as low as 4 degrees Celsius for long periods of time.
- Must be physically fit and able to safely lift, pull, and push repetitively up to and including 40lbs, as well as able to stand/walk for long periods of time.
- Must demonstrate care in handling various fragile and perishable products.
- Must be punctual, self-motivated, and able to work to a high degree of accuracy either independently or with other team members.
- Must always observe safety protocols when using equipment, handling materials, and conducting any task. If witnessing unsafe actions by any staff member, to report to nearest supervisor/coordinator.
- Must maintain approachability and courteous conduct with customers and fellow staff.
- High capability in demonstrating problem-solving and proactive communication.
- High capability in multi-tasking and working under pressure to meet operational deadlines.
- Strong English language skills, both written and oral.
- Warehouse experience is an asset.
- Floral knowledge is an asset.
- Computer software literacy is an asset (including Microsoft Office Suite and internally developed tools).

**Base Wage**: $18.00/hour

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
