Job Information:
Main Responsibilities & Duties:
- Develop and implement advanced predictive models and algorithms to forecast energy market trends and identify wholesale market peaks.
- Work closely with the asset optimization team to create algorithms that enhance the performance and profitability of battery energy storage systems.
- Analyze large datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and insights that inform strategic decision-making.
- Design and implement machine learning models to improve operational efficiencies and support the development of innovative energy solutions.
- Communicate complex data science concepts and the outcomes of analyses to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Drive initiatives that contribute to the growth and success of Rodan Energy’s advanced energy solutions.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes that impact the energy market and data science field.
**Requirements**:
- Demonstrated expertise in predictive modeling, machine learning, and algorithm development.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL or other applicable for big data analyses.
- Familiarity with energy markets, demand response programs, different types of generation and battery energy storage systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and lead initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field is valuable but not mandatory
