**The Position**

As a **Hydrovac Operator**, you will be responsible for operating some very specialized equipment. In addition, you will performing the following tasks:

- Safely operate a hydrovac truck and perform duties such as clean-up, mobilization, and general maintenance
- Hydro-excavation, utility line exposure, debris removal, trenching, and digging
- Maintain the truck and paperwork
- Communicate effectively and professionally with customers, co-workers, and management at all times
- Participate in the company's safety program and attend safety meetings
- Perform physically challenging tasks in all weather conditions
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and perform minor repairs as needed
- Full availability and understanding to work variable hours averaging between 30 to 70 hours weekly, depending on slow and peak seasons
- Weekends and extended hours as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times

**Minimum Requirements**
- A valid Class 3 (and/or class1) with air-brake endorsement
- A minimum of 3 years driving experience and 2 years of hydrovac operator experience
- A valid and clean BC driver license
- Must be able to navigate and maneuver tri-axle trucks in tight spaces
- Must have a strong command of the English language and be able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
- Be a reliable team player with a positive attitude and customer service orientation
- Proficient with various software programs, including mobile apps
- A high level of commitment to safety
- You work well independently and within a team environment
- Well developed work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work in confined spaces, walk, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds
- Ground Disturbance, H2S Alive, Fall Protection, CSE, CSTS or PSTS, First Aid tickets are considered assets
