Overview:
Reporting to the Director of Strategic Policy, the Policy Coordinator supports the efficient operation of Strategic Policy by providing confidential administrative support to the Director and coordinating the flow of information across the Division. The Policy Coordinator provides logístical and scheduling support to the Director, management team and staff. Services performed include document preparation, distribution and filing, and inventory/office supply management. The Policy Coordinator supports the decision-making process by helping move initiatives forward through policy approvals processes, while identifying and addressing areas for improvement in workflow, corporate policies, setting priorities, and process planning. The Policy Coordinator may undertake research and special projects to support and implement change and business improvement initiatives for the Division.

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinates the Director's daily schedule
- Acquires office supplies and manages inventory levels
- Manages financial and administrative duties as assigned by the Director
- Coordinates Divisional input to requests from other divisions including corporate initiatives
- Maintains confidentiality of information that Policy Coordinator may be privy to due to the nature of the work
- Executes event coordination and administration functions, including for working group meetings held in virtual and hybrid formats
- Supports the design and implementation of special projects and cross-functional teams within the Division
- Coordinates and participates in project planning, ensures successful completion of deliverables, and reports on progress & outcomes
- Coordinates review and approval of briefing materials, reports, analyses, proposals, policy papers and correspondence
- Assists in the preparation and delivery of responses for various senior executives
- Formats reports and presentations

Qualifications:

- Undergraduate degree in Economics, Public Policy, Commerce, or related discipline
- Graduate degree or professional designation in Economics, Public Administration, Law, or related discipline is considered an asset
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in public policy, regulatory policy, public administration, or a related field
- Minimum 2 + year's of experience in a coordination function
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint), Microsoft Teams
- Knowledge of administrative support functions, including budget administration, human resources processes and collective agreements
- Strong ability to think critically and problem solve effectively
- Proven relationship management and collaboration skills
- Skilled in policy and program development, research, and analysis tools and techniques
- Ability to deliver results within very tight deadlines in a fast-paced work environment, without compromising attention to detail
