This is a new role supporting the Senior Advisor, Learning & Development in growing analytics capabilities to drive data-based decision making. This includes evaluating existing and new reporting process and technology including the identification of skill needs and related talent pipelines to deliver against strategic objectives; particularly where outstanding or scarce skills may be required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Being a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures.
- Finding unique ways to automate repetitive and manual tasks using scripts.
- Leverage Power BI dashboards to build robust Talent Management Reporting
- Support business planning initiatives as needed by:

- Gathering all required business inputs to ensure data-driven decisions are made in the development of the schedule.
- Analyzing and processing all relevant data to enable accurate labour needs forecasts, including employee availability and skills, business activities, and events.
- Building optimized schedules to effectively drive business goals while minimizing labour surplus.
- Partnering effectively with site staff to support with live week schedule changes resulting in labour adjustments to align with workforce management principles.
- Capture data concerning external factors, such as unemployment, salary trends, and industry growth.
- Conducting regular data cleansing, data preparation, data modeling, and data maintenance
- Partnering with Talent Acquisition team to ensure teamwork and consistencies carry throughout talent management portfolio.
- Participate in other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Preference will be given to students in their third and fourth year of studies in business technology management (e.g. Management Information Systems, Computer Science or similar studies).
- Previous experience with data analytics, econometric modelling, large-scale surveys, coding and business analysis experience are key assets.
- Ability to communicate with precision in a technical environment.
- Able to articulate sophisticated concepts clearly and in a way a diverse audience would understand.
- Proven track record to grasp new technologies and platforms quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
- Adaptable and flexible, as well as open to learning and trying new things.
- Motivated self-starter, able to work under mínimal direction and be able to coordinate several tasks and/or projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Power BI and Power Automate.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and a high level of integrity.
- Understanding and knowledge of one or more programming languages would be considered an asset.

Wage Range: $3,800 - $4,900 /Month

Salary is commensurate with the number of academic semesters and prior co-op experiences completed.
