**The Opportunity**

Reporting directly to the Commissioner of Finance / Chief Finance Officer, this role is responsible for handling all of the financial affairs of the municipality in accordance with the Commissioner of Finance/CFO’s direction and the Municipal Act, making changes in financial policies and programs as appropriate. You will support all departments in the financial planning and budgeting process and manage the determination and collection of development charges to minimize financial risk. You will be responsible for overseeing 4 direct reports, 15 indirect reports and manage Caledon’s total budget of approximately $145 million, as well as assets valued at approximately $1.3 billion. As the Treasurer, you will perform the following duties, including but not limited to:

- Tracking, analysis and projections related to Development Charges, Development Charge Reserve Funds, and Development Charge Credit Agreements, as well as overseeing requests for security and insurance renewals, security reductions and releases.
- Directs the approval of all legislatively mandated requirements under various acts, codes and by-laws set out by Federal, Provincial or Municipal levels of government.
- Assists departments with financial and business analysis to implement recommendations of departmental business plans, reports, master plans and other initiatives.
- Lead the development and ongoing implementation of the Town’s Corporate Asset Management Program, reporting and updating the Asset Management Plan to ensure sustainability of the Town's infrastructure assets and to meet legislated reporting requirements.

This position offers a salary range of $145,004.33- $177,703.97 plus a competitive benefit package.
