'''Job Summary'''
BioNeutra seeks a highly motivated and experienced Research Scientist to develop and scale up new bioprocesses that result in new products that can be commercialized. This position reports to the Director of Product Development. This three-year fixed position will start on April 1, 2024 and may be extended.

1. Perform experiments for product development in a timely manner to accomplish project goals.

2. Develop manufacturing bioprocesses for new products, including lab and pilot equipment testing, processing optimization, and scaling up until operations.

3. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), prepare the new equipment SOPs, and provide technical support for preparing the batch records in pilot and large-scale manufacturing operations under GMP.

4. Contribute technical knowledge to solve issues encountered during processing development and manufacturing.

5. Collaborate with other Production, R&D, and other team members.

6. Prepare clear and concise written work summaries, data analyses, and technical reports.

7. Maintain all the laboratory equipment, ensure a safe and functional working environment, and understand safety discipline in food ingredient manufacturing processes.

8. Additional responsibilities as directed.

'''Experience'''
1. **A master's degree** with industrial or research experience in developing bioprocesses. Relevant experience in chemical, biomedical, pharmaceutical, biological, food would be considered an asset.

3. Prior experience developing continuous bioprocesses, scale-up, Design of Experiments (DOE), process validation, or GMP guidelines arean asset.

4. A capable team player of managing multiple tasks and complex projects independently and in a group environment.

5. Strong organizational and planning skills and electronic data handling skills.

6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
