Heavy Duty Forklift Operator

As a Heavy Duty Forklift Operator and Yard Role at NAMCO Machine & Gear Works Ltd., you will play a crucial role in our warehouse and industrial operations. Your primary responsibility will be to efficiently and safely move materials, products, and equipment using heavy-duty forklifts (in all climates). Attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, working collaboratively with other team members, and the ability to work under pressure are essential for success in this role. Additional duties may be assigned, as required.
Unload and load: Safely unload and load materials and merchandise on vehicles and trailers and stack them in appropriate locations within the warehouse and yard.
Product Movement: Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
Quality Control: Identify damages, report shortages, or quality deficiencies promptly.
Raw Material Transport: Transport raw materials to production workstations as needed.
Equipment Inspection: Regularly inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and ensure safety.
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory and activity logs.
Compliance: Adhere to company policies and legal guidelines.
Facility Maintenance: Help maintain a safe and orderly environment within the facilities.
Train: Train forklift operators, as needed.
Shipping / Receiving: Assist with packaging / unpackaging and receiving tasks.
Yard: Assist with yard cleanliness and organization.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively and respectfully with other team members.
Experience: Proven experience as a trained forklift operator, with a focus on heavy-duty equipment.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.
Physical Condition: Excellent physical condition and coordination.
Certification: Valid certification to operate heavy-duty forklifts.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
