**Packer and Packaging Technician**
- Department: _Production
- Reports to: _Shift Manager, Production Supervisor, Lead Hand and QC

**_Summary Statement_**
- As efficiently as possible, package Treasure Mills products in the accurate packaging while ensuring food quality and food safety is met._

**_PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES_**
- _Assemble/disassemble machinery_
- _Check products and packaging for basic quality defects, report any quality variances_
- _Measure, weigh, and count products to be packed_
- _Load materials and products into package processing equipment_
- _Label product ensuring proper packaging material and lot code_
- _Palletizing cases of product onto skids_
- _Check boxes, cases, and trays and products to ensure that packing specifications are met_
- _Clean equipment and work area according to company's SSOP_

**_HEALTH&SAFETY, SECURITY AND ENVIRONMENT_**

**Comply with all company health and safety policies and practices including the wearing of PPE, Lockout procedures, and WHMIS. Report any Health & Safety, Security and Environment Issues to personnel with authority to initiate action**

**_FOOD SAFETY & QUALITY_**
- Execution of all job functions shall be done in accordance to all site Quality and Food Safety procedures. Report any food safety and quality problems to production supervisor and or QC to initiate action_

**_KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:_**
- _Organized_
- _Must be reliable - good work history and attendance record_
- _Good interpersonal and communication skills_
- _Be able to stand for lengthy periods_
- _Self-starter with a strong work ethic_
- _Ability to lift/push/pull 30 pounds_
- _Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment_
- _Packer/packager_
