The production furnace operator operates furnace equipment and machinery to produce metal parts from mold assemblies. The operator works in a team and reports directly to the Lead Hand.

Job responsibilities:

- Sets up and operates furnace equipment for production. Keeps equipment operating according to operating procedures and in good condition.
- Remove finished parts using appropriate machinery and tools.
- Performs sandblasting to remove excess materials from finished parts.
- Keeps furnace stations and surrounding area clean and clear of debris.
- Displays willingness and the ability to assist in training co-workers.
- To operate the ultrasonic equipment to perform daily blank cleaning duties.
- Works safely and follows all safety rules and operational procedures.
- Performs Lockout Procedure according to Safety SOP.
- Performs routine maintenance and notifies maintenance personnel concerning any machine issues that might affect production, cause a safety concern or lead to further maintenance problems.
- Maintains a clean, organized work station
- Performs other duties, as assigned.

Job requirements:
1. Minimum grade 12 completion

2. Physically fit; able to stand extended period of time

3. Able to work in heat, cold and noisy environment

4. Mechanically inclined

5. Team player and problem solver
