As an Accounts Payable Technician reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will be responsible for processing invoices for our Payables Department and providing general support to suppliers.
**THE ROLE**:
- Verify, validate and ensure payment of invoices to suppliers according to agreements;
- Verify, validate and ensure payment of expense accounts to employees according to internal and government policies;
- Ensure the accuracy of the accounting charges according to the months in which the expenses were incurred;
- Maintain the supplier file and ensure the accuracy of the information;
- Proceed with bank transfers;
- Follow up with the bank on returned transactions and pre-authorized payments;
- Reconcile suppliers' statements of account (under his/her responsibility);
- Follow up on credit balances;
- Follow up on outstanding cheques;
- Manage accounts payable with rigor and diligence;
- Provide quality administrative support to internal and external customers.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience;
- DEC in administrative technique, accounting technique or other equivalent training;
- Global vision of accounts payable;
- Rigor, organization and autonomy;
- Thoroughness, flexibility and proactivity;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Concern for customer service, both internal and external;
- Have a continuous improvement and process innovation approach;
- Understanding of the process of matching purchase orders, receipts and invoices;
- Fluency in French and functional English;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google (Excel: Searches/Formulas);
- Ability to work with different currencies;
- Great aptitude for teamwork.
