**Position Details**

Reporting to the Manager of IT, the IT Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining functionality and security of hardware and software/apps on computers, mobile devices, assistive technology equipment, printers, and other network equipment used by APSEA employees and learners on APSEA’s case load.

**Requirements and Work Experience You Bring**:

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in an IT support role.
- Ability to translate difficult technical concepts to non-technical employees.
- Demonstrated experience with various operating systems including Windows, iOS and Android software and all associated devices.
- Skilled in the management and configuration of networking devices, switches, and printers.
- Knowledgeable in terminating network cabling as well as installing and maintaining wiring racks.
- General knowledge of designing technology and assisting with troubleshooting for audio/video equipment (i.e., virtual classrooms).
- Knowledgeable of on prem. hybrid configurations.
- Advanced knowledge of desktop, laptop, and tablet repair methodologies.
- Ability to lift 30-50 pounds with assistance.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Continuously learning new technologies in a dynamic IT environment.
- Occasional travel may be required, access to a reliable mode of transportation is preferred.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ or related certifications an asset.
- ITIL Foundations Certificate an asset.
- Experience or knowledge of WCAG 2.0 and WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards would be an asset.
- Experience working with current assistive technology software and devices in the areas of computer access for blind/low-vision, and Deaf/hard of hearing, considered an asset.

**Salary**: $59,288.00-$72,013.00 per year
