Korean-english Bilingual Counsellor

We are seeking a **Korean-English Bilingual Counsellor** starting on **July 15, 2024**.

**The Primary Duties are to**:

- offer social and emotional guidance mainly for international students - act as an intermediary between the school and parents
- update student information on our database
- collaborate with teachers, boarding advisors, coaches and administrators
- be fluent in English and Korean in both verbal and written form
- possess a bachelor’s degree in social work, education, counselling psychology, educational counselling, ESL or other relevant disciplines
- be able to work professionally, independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- illustrate values such as kindness, empathy and honesty
- have a passion for working with youth and exhibit excellent communication skills

Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications
- has travelled or lived in Korea and is familiar with the education and social-cultural context of Korea
- can assist with post-secondary guidance and admissions
- is familiar with the BC K-12 system
- has had experience working with high school students, or other youth services
- has had experience working in study abroad industry

Pay: $56,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
