**Field Inspector**
***to join our multidisciplinary team of professionals. You will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects while providing clients with a fully integrated and superior customer experience.

**Responsibilities**:
**What your day will look like**

**Project Coodination and Field Inspection (97%)**
- Manage on-site field inspections of infrastructure projects, ensuring that projects meet the requirements of contract drawings and specifications
- Coordinate, monitor and witness required testing activities to ensure that testing is being carried out at the prescribed frequency and that the results are acceptable
- Coordinate daily records of conditions, site activities, and work progress
- Support contract administration as required, including the preparation of progress payments

- Input to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring
- Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees

Qualifications:
**What you will need to succeed**
- A diploma in Civil Engineering Technology would be an asset
- Licensed to practice as a Certified Engineering Technologist in Ontario, or eligible to be licensed within six months, an asset
- A minimum of five years' related work experience
- Proven leadership capabilities
- Comfortable with providing direction to the contractor onsite as needed through CA/PM, as required.
- Able to keep organized notes related to daily site activities, contractor equipment used and document with photos.
- Previous working knowledge of Ontario Provincial Standards (OPS) is beneficial, but not a requirement.
- Valid Driver’s License

**Experience**:
**Experience**
- Experience as a resident inspector on large municipal infrastructure projects
- Working knowledge of relevant municipal/provincial standards and regulatory requirements
- In depth knowledge of contract administration services and requirements
- Expert knowledge of municipal servicing standards and environmental approvals requirements
- Exceptional communication (verbal and written) skills are essential
