Alberici is searching for a temporary Quality Technician who will provide quality assurance, quality control guidance, and technical support to our project team in Windsor, Ontario. The Quality Technician is responsible for monitoring site-specific requirements set forth by Alberici’s Quality Program, interfacing with internal and external stakeholders, and serving as a resource to the project site for Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) policies and procedures.
Position Overview:
- Ensures implementation of all quality program requirements at the project level
- Reviews client’s quality and technical requirements and ensures implementation of requirements at project level
- Monitors and/or completes field documentation related to QA/QC activities
- Monitors and/or carries out material receiving and inspection activities
- Develops, implements and maintainsproject-specific inspection and test plans
- Conducts project-specific quality orientations
- Ensures project management teams have current drawings, specifications, codes, standards, etc.
- Assists in the development of project QA/QC procedures, activities as required
- Monitors construction work for compliance with drawings, specifications, code and jurisdictional authorities. Generate reports of findings for review by the Quality Manager and applicable Project Manager.
- Supports the Quality Manager in the development and management of Quality policies and procedures
- Supports the Quality Manager in obtaining and maintaining all certifications and registrations
- Assists in vendor, sub-contractor and project surveillance audits
- Develop, implement and oversee project site quality programs including third party inspection agencies and subcontractor quality programs.

Qualifications:
Post secondary degree/diploma in Engineering Technologies, Quality Control with 1-5 years of experience performing electrical, mechanical, and architectural/civil inspections on a construction site. Certificate of Engineering Technology, ISO 9001 Auditor, Certificate of Qualification in a trade, CSA approved Welding Inspector, and/or Canadian Society of Engineers a plus.
