BC Cancer - Surrey is a full-service academic cancer center located in the western Fraser Valley. We are seeking a permanent radiation oncologist to join our staff of 15 Radiation Oncologists and one General Practitioner in Oncology, working within the provincial Radiation Therapy program at BC Cancer.

Surrey is located approximately 30 kilometres south-east of Vancouver in a rapidly growing, diverse community which is home to both families, universities and a budding, multicultural urban centre.

BC Cancer - Surrey has 5 linear accelerators and an orthovoltage unit. We treat all tumor sites and offer comprehensive Stereotactic services including specific SRS, thoracic, liver/abdomen, spine and GU stereotactic teams. SABR treatment of primary cancers (e.g. lung, liver, prostate) and oligometastatic / oligoprogressive disease is provided. Prostate and Gynecologic brachytherapy is planned on-site and delivered at the Abbotsford centre.

Our department has an active academic program. The successful applicant will be expected to deliver excellent patient care, be involved in teaching of medical students and residents, and carry out clinical research. We offer a strong multidisciplinary clinical trials group and have wide ranging research opportunities through local collaborations with Surrey Memorial Hospital, University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University, as well as Provincial projects through the BC Cancer tumor groups and outcomes units. Career enhancements opportunities are plentiful with participation in education and patient care quality improvement projects.

The successful applicant must be eligible for licensure in British Columbia, must have obtained a Fellowship in Radiation Oncology from the RCPSC or hold an equivalent qualification by the time of appointment, and must meet the requirements for appointment to medical staff of BC Cancer and
