At Evercloak, we have a unique job opportunity for a recent post-secondary graduate from chemical engineering, chemistry or nanotechnology with a strong desire to be a part of our growing start-up company. In this position, the Materials Lab Technician will be responsible for following standard operating procedures to evaluate Evercloak’s technology components and products. The lab technician will work closely with Evercloak’s Coating Specialist, Product Development Lead and other members of the team to evaluate key raw materials, membranes, and coatings.

**What you’ll do**

The Materials Lab Technicianwill work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment, balancing requirements across engineering, chemistry and manufacturing to:

- Follow established QC techniques/methods for assessing quality of key raw materials and membranes;
- Accurately collect and record work;
- Test, analyze and interpret data in collaboration with the engineering team;
- Use PPE and technical equipment responsibly, and
- Ensure equipment is calibrated, maintained and in good working order.
- A diploma or degree from an accredited post-secondary institution in a related technical field (e.g., chemistry, nanotechnology, chemical engineering),
- A solid understanding of analytical instrumentation, sample preparation, and materials characterization, such as UV-Vis, FTIR, rheology,
- Understanding of membrane gas separation processes is considered an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
- Ability to work independently and proceed with objectives without supervision once priorities have been established.
- Experience with a variety of computer software programs (MS Office) and online engagement platforms (e.g., Slack, Zoom)

**Other Important Details**
