**About the role**

The Manager of Marketing leads a team of marketing and proposal professionals, responsible for “Building Brand” in all of MTE’s geographies and target sectors. This role is responsible for developing, implementing and managing the marketing strategies and activities for the company. In addition, this role is responsible for managing MTE’s proposal processes, including preparation, submission and tracking, in concert with the organization. Working closely with business development staff, this role is involved in developing and executing strategies to build business with responsibilities including but not limited to, directing marketing staff in the completion of initiatives within specified timelines and providing input into the annual development of the business development and marketing business plan (BDM BP) and budget.

**Who will you be working with?**

This role reports directly to the Vice President of Business Development & Marketing and works closely with the Director of Business Development and the marketing team as a whole. This role regularly interacts with staff and management throughout the organization as well as external contacts including potential clients, current clients, suppliers, vendors, and community representatives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with the preparation of the BDM BP and budget.
- Responsible for the implementation and management of marketing initiatives within the BDM BP.
- Schedule, direct, supervise and coordinate work activities of marketing staff, including but not limited to hiring, performance management, coaching, mentoring and employee relations issues.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies and initiatives ensuring coordination with Business Development initiatives.
- Work with Division Managers in the creation and execution of their annual business development and marketing initiatives.
- Creation, review, and management of all Marketing materials for consistency of messaging and branding.
- Perform market research and analysis, both by geography and service/industry sector.
- Implement established proposal processes for RFP’s and proposals.
- Other related duties, as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Post Secondary Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field.
- Minimum 8-10 years of related work experience.
- Experience with managing staff.
- Experience with working in a professional services organization and ability to influence professional staff to ensure consistency of brand management.
- Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry is an asset
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and InDesign.
- Experience with website maintenance.
- Experience with a CRM database.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines, on a daily basis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and comprehension.
- Customer service orientation.
