**JOIN OUR TEAM**

We are looking for a motivated ESL Instructor to join our _MOSAIC engage_ team, teaching **Advanced ESL**, at our new Language Centre in Metrotown Shopping Centre.

**POSITION FUNCTION**:

- Under the direction of the program coordinator, instructors will lead student-centred English classes for a diverse clientele of adult learners, planning learning objectives and lesson plans based on students’ needs and level.
- Instructors are responsible for planning and delivering practical, engaging English lessons, creating a welcoming and encouraging class environment, assessing and evaluating student progress, maintaining attendance records and other administrative duties as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Highly organized, tactful, versatile, and flexible with excellent communication skills; sensitive to and understanding of the needs of adult immigrant learners; attitudes and values in keeping with the goals and philosophies of MOSAIC.
- Recognized undergraduate degree and a TESL Canada recognized TESL certificate or a clearly documented equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience teaching adult ESL, particularly using student-centered, participatory methods.

**HOURS**:
7.5 hours per week (6 instructional + 25% for prep)

Start date is April 22nd 2024

Class schedule is 2 evenings per week - Mon+Thurs 6:00pm-9:00pm

**BENEFITS**:
